Что такое контексты в voicemail.conf, для чего они используются и как связаны с dialplan'ом?
В комментариях написано:

Как это используется и для чего конкретно?
Имеет ли какое то специальное значение контекст default здесь?

Кроме того, как задать time-зону по умолчанию для некоторого набора ящиков, или для всех хотя бы?

Ну вот, так всегда... вопрос про контексты, похоже, снят. Из http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+VoiceMail :

The context defined in the voicemail.conf corresponds to entries in the channel configuration file, i.e. zapata.conf and sip.conf which require the context to be appended to the mailbox when using VoiceMail2.

Configuration lines for a voicemailbox in voicemail.conf:

[ YourVoicemailContext]

210 => 5555,John Smith,jsmith@yourdomain.com

Line in zapata.conf or sip.conf:

mailbox=210@YourVoicemailContext

The location of saved messages also changes with the context:
/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/YourVoicemailContext/210/INBOX

Tilghman Lesher had a well-written patch he posted to the list a few
weeks ago for Voicemail, which I've been using without difficulty.
He has said he's going to work on Voicemail2, so I am hoping to see
that soon, and then integration into the main CVS tree after some
testing.

Not only does the patch handle generic time and date stamps, but it
allows customizable timezones, announcement strings, and uses
standard UNIX-ish time code macros. Very slick, and really necessary
for voicemail systems that happen to have users in multiple timezones.

Users may be located in different timezones, or may have different

По-моему все понятно :huh:

С этим то все понятно, а вот как можно установить timezone по умолчанию для всех пользователей вообще, или, например, для всего voicemail-контекста?

Типа:

[ general]

tz=moscow

Или:

[ staff]

tz=moscow

Ну он же говорит когда получен voicemail..
Если глобально у всех tz=msk, а у меня tz=eet, тогда asterisk будет сообщать мне время получения voicemail в моем формате.

"...Set the message and the timezone each user hears here. ..." Here - это где :huh:? Извините за несообразительность...

Ну как где!?
Вариантов два:
1) в [general]
2) в [custom_group]

Есть еще место где
это можно прописать
но я не скажу
